[Waving goodbye to summer...]
And so it ends, a summer of treking around Asia, good times with the fam and the girls back home and just lazing around. I've said it before and I'll say it again but this summer has been by far the awesome-est summer in all my 20 years. I'm so sad to see it all go.
To end the summer off with a bang, the girls got together Saturday for a night on the town to celebrate Maggie's upcoming 20th. It started off with a spontaneous stop at the Toronto Food Festival where we snacked on lots of yummy (and exotic) dishes which included an insanely hot chili made with Belgian chocolate. Alice Fazooli's chocolate pecan square was absolutely to die for! =) We then headed over to Fred's Not Here for dinner, pushing through crowds of people along the way. The streets were completely packed that night because of the Toronto Film Festival and apparently, we had JUST missed seeing Johnny Depp at Birks!! (He went downstairs a few seconds before we got there) =( The night went on with drinks at The Panorama with lots of good laughs and Maggie getting a little too happy from her martini (although she won't admit it =P). The night view of d/t Toronto from up there was simply spectacular!! Just the sight of it makes me love Toronto even more!!! =) Good times with the girls as usual and a happy early birthday to Mags! =)
[Helloooo School!]
First day of classes was rough!! Most of the profs gave only a few minutes of intro then jumped right into the hardcore stuff! =S After realizing that I've forgotten almost everything I learned last term, I really started panicking. Today I'm feeling much calmer and I think I can do this...I just need to tackle one problem at a time. =) I have to say though that I think I'm really going to enjoy this World Religion class which is sounding very interesting indeed. It's definitely a very welcomed breather from all the intense math and design stuff that is the meat of all my other courses.
