[Adventures in HK | Part 2]
This week has definitely been way more eventful than the last. On Monday, I went in for my "interview" which really wasn't much of one since I was pretty hired without really having to speak to anyone. For those I haven't updated in a while, I'm working this summer as an English interviewer for a market research company. Although it isn't the most glamourous of jobs I'm definitely not complaining! It's pretty wicked pay for doing practically nothing sometimes especially compared to the practically slave labour that HK students who work at McD's or retail have to put up with. Their work is so much more tiring AND they earn almost a quarter of what I earn. Plus for some of those jobs they need job experience in order to get hired. My job? Nothing, you don't need to know crap! Not to mention there's a hefty bonus for each successful call you make. =P I've already made 3 YAY!! Thanks soooooooooooo much for the job Christina whereever you are!
As if that wasn't enough, the people there are awesome! Our supervisor, Sam is the funniest guy!! Seriously...we bug him all the time with stupid questions and he takes it all like a trooper. =P Our boss, Richard is even funnier. He gets these mini nervous breakdowns sometimes (nothing serious so not to worry!) because there's so much for him to take care of and then he'll get all hysterical. You have to see it to believe it. My coworkers, Heidi and Abby are really fun to work with too. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my lonely days in HK. =)
