[Rants and Randoms]
Well seeing as it's been a long time since my last post, I decided it's about time to grace you all with my presence again. =P
Truthfully, nothing too exciting has happened since. Almost as soon as I got over my jetlag, I started working at Timothy's once again (I swear it's going to be for the last time!). I know I probably should be grateful to have a job to come back to whenever I'm back in Toronto but some things are just really getting on my nerves. I completely forgot how bossy some of my superiors can be especially E and sometimes J. J is only annoying when there are a lot of customers in line and she kicks into bitchy mode but E is just a complete jackass who I never liked from the beginning. From some reason though, I'm finding him to be especially anal this time around. He's always pointing out things for me to do while he's just lazing around and I'm already working my ass off. This one time I was changing the garbage and he comes by and lifts the full bag up as if to help me bring it out back. Well I'm just in complete shock thinking "WOW are you actually doing something nice for a change?". Just as that thought was passing, he puts the bag back down and walks away!! WHAT THE HELL?!!! HOW RUDE!! What, does he weight train with garbage bags for kicks?? Work makes me mad...and depressed. Thank goodness I only have two more shifts left.
Now onto happier (and more random) things...
Yesterday, Phong and I tried out the $1 IKEA breakfast for the first time. Let me just say it was BLEEECH!! But honestly, for $1 what was I expecting?? Let's go though this item by item shall we??
Eggs: From afar, they may look like your typical homemade scrambled eggs. When they're right in front of your face and you're about to eat them, they look abnormally blocky and smooth textured kind of like tofu. Tasted kind of like tofu too. Strange indeed.
Sausages: These things literally looked like crap.
Potatoes: Actually tasted right. But then again, how hard is it to heat up McCain homefries??
Croissant: Looked like those plastic squeeky Fisher Price play foods we used to play with in kindergarden.
Afterwards, we spent the day at Main Street in Unionville. It's still as beautiful as I remember it to be from the old days but definitely alot shorter. It's funny how when you revisit old childhood spots after growing up, everything seems a lot smaller. I know that's how I felt 2 years ago when I used the washroom of my elementary school. Those toilets were puny! Two ice cream cones and a zillion pictures later, we made our way to First Markham where we successfully completed the search for Alfred and Jeannette's wedding present and got *gasp* a REAL CD. I'm currently in love with Leo Ku's song where he mashes maybe 30-something chinese classics into a 10:38 medley. Wow that's some powerful stuff! Now if only the stupid broken CD reader on my computer would play the disk properly!!! >,<

Argh.. I hate having bad bosses.. I think the one I have now is the worst I've had yet... he even offered to replace me earlier this summer! I'm a little late on replying so thankfully, you're done already, right? =)
Mmm.. Ikea breakfast, always wanted to try it out.. but it'd have better luck holding off sleep for a few extra hours than waking up that early.. haha. So late, and so hungry, even with your descriptions, it sounds like a feast to me... reading it is making me even hungrier! Besides, my standards for food is like.. quantity before quality anyway.. hehe.
I never knew you were from Unionville.. I know 2 people our age who were from there.. maybe you know them! I *think* i know what medley you were talking about... and if you liked that one, I got something to send you.. it's a medley, but it's very compact.. 1 line to a song =)
