Boxing day shopping: Day 2

VERY successful!! I didn't spend too much money today but I still got a whole crapload of stuff. Got a bunch of very nice looking sweaters at Costa Blanca (LOVE that store!). With no tax and an additional 30% off last ticketed price who can resist?! =P Jacob had some pretty good deals too which was surprising since their stuff is never that cheap even with sales. Got a sweet fleece zip up for only $15. Amazing! =) Realistically, I think I may have done enough shopping this Boxing Day but I can't help feeling like there's sooo much more stuff out there calling out to me to "buy them!". hahahahaha...this is so becoming an addiction.

Shopping for 2 days in a row is exhausting. I'm feeling more tired right now then I did at any time during exams. Yikes! Thank goodness it's all over! Vaughan Mills, the new mall was sadly a little disappointing and very highly overated. Nothing was THAT cheap and it took forever to get around the mall. Having done so at least 3 times today, I was pretty much ready to collapse by the end of the day. However, I did manage to find gifts for everyone on my list and only bought 2 items for myself. That's some pretty good self control if I may say so myself! =) I still can't believe that Christmas is actually tomorrow! Kind of sad though because once tomorrow is over and done with, this warm fuzzy Christmas feeling is going to disappear for another 365 days. If only every day could be Christmas... *sigh*

Shopping again on Sunday and Monday. Will I survive it? We'll see..

First day back in Toronto

Very eventful!! The plan was at first to head over to the new Vaughan Mills Mall to wrap up Christmas shopping but snowstorm/freezing rain quickly put an end to that. Instead, we ended up heading d/t to Eaton Center. From then on interesting things began happening one after another non-stop. On the subway ride to downtown, Phong and I had a friendly disagreement about which was the fastest route to Eaton Center and so to solve the issue we decided to play a little game. He would get off the train at Spadina, take the greenline east to Bloor and down the yellow to our final destination: Queen while I went all the way around the U on one straight train ride to Queen. At the end, we still couldn't come to a conclusion because when I finally got there (which did seem a lot longer than I thought it would) he was nowhere in sight!! After about 20 minutes of waiting and looking everywhere in the station for him I started to get a little worried. "omg...what if he got pushed onto the tracks by some psycho?!" After dailing his cell phone like mad we finally found each other about 30 minutes later than necessary!! Craziness...me and my spontaneous ideas. =P

Then some time during the day we were walking by the fountain and all of a sudden this guy appears clenching an openned pocket knife and heading slowly toward a guy. We were both pretty freaked out and immediately steered clear of the area. Thinking about it afterwards...we should have tried to get a better look at the guy and reported him to security. I guess fear came over us and clouded our judgement at that moment. =\ Thank goodness nothing happened in the end though.

Got most of my Christmas gift shopping done and finally got to eat good quality Chinese food again! Hope to finally hit the new mall tomorrow! The weather looks quite promising. =)

You know it's cold when your window freezes over and there's actually a mass of ice expanding around the bottom preventing you from openning it. OMG...Kingston sucks this time of year...especially when there's still one more exam to write. =( Hang in there my fellow Chem Engs/Eng Chems. We're almost there!
